Caithness, a county on the North-East coast of Scotland, is fairly flat or bleak in nature on first impressions. Its beauty and magic not so obvious as the dramatic mountains on the West coast. The Caithness seacliffs offer miles of quiet, less explored climbing, walking and kayaking. Over the years I have enjoyed climbing here, I have had a few epics, a few moments of worrying whether I would make it out again, and I even learned how to trad lead climb here. I have kayaked and walked sections of this coastline and enjoyed many picnics while watching the birds and looking out for seals. This is a peaceful place to be immersed in, and pretty spectacular too. In this image I hope to have captured the hidden beauty of Caithness as a place I love to re-visit.
